Arsenal news: Final Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang payment made amid first Barcelona problem

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has sealed his last-minute transfer deadline day switch to Barcelona after Arsenal agreed to release the forward – but he's already facing his first problem at his new club.

The former Arsenal captain had been ostracised at the Emirates Stadium following a disciplinary breach in December which left him training alone and left out of Mikel Arteta's first-teamsquad.

In order to push through his deadline day move, though, the Gunners had to pay a huge fee to cancel his contract as details of the move and Aubameyang's final hours as an Arsenal player have now come to light.

It comes as Arsenal legend Ian Wright has issued an emphatic verdict on the whole affair.

Gunners icon Ian Wright say's he's "sad" to see ex-captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang go.
