Arsenal: 'Intermediaries working on move' for £140k-a-week star at the Emirates

Arsenal are eager to offload Nicolas Pepe and intermediaries are working on a deal which will see him exit the Emirates Stadium, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

Having fallen down the pecking order and made no Premier League starts since last October, it appears the winger is surplus to requirements in north London.

Arsenal may have forked out a club-record fee of £72million to sign Pepe from Lille three years ago, but they are preparing to make a major loss in order to get him off the club’s books.

That is because it is understood that an offer of £25million could be enough to tempt the Gunners into sanctioning a move.

According to Spanish sources, Pepe has drawn interest from Ligue 1 giants Marseille and Lyon, along with La Liga outfit Sevilla.

“At the moment, there hasn’t really been any nibbles. Arsenal and the player’s agents are trying to find a club that are genuinely interested in him at a certain level. I
