Mikel Arteta Highlights The Importance Of Winning Ahead Of West Ham Clash

Wolves' defeat yesterday means Arsenal can guarantee a top-six finish and European football if they beat West Ham this afternoon, as Mikel Arteta's side continues its push for Champions League qualification.

The Gunners head to the London Stadium in good form following two huge wins against Chelsea and Manchester United. Meanwhile, West Ham find themselves in a different situation, with a crucial second leg Europa League tie awaiting them at Eintracht Frankfurt next week.

Despite that, David Moyes is fielding a strong side that includes the likes of Declan Rice and Jarrod Bowen. Arteta meanwhile has been forced to make a change at the back due to Ben White having a tight hamstring. Rob Holding replaces him while Takehiro Tomiyasu starts at right-back. The only other change is in attack, where Gabriel Martinelli has come in for Emile Smith Rowe, who is named on the bench.

Ben White's absence along with West Ham's team selection has added an extra sense of nerves ahead of kick-off. Here is how the Arsenal fans reacted to the Gunners' starting XI on Twitter.
