Arsenal and Celtic learn Champions League opponents

Arsenal will take on Swedish side BK Hacken for place in the group stage of the Women's Champions League, while Scottish champions Celtic have been handed a tie against Vorskla Poltava of Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Manchester City will face Paris FC after the draw was made for the second qualifying round on Monday.

The two-legged ties will take place on 18/19 and 25/26 September with the winners progressing to the 16-team group stage. All three British sides will play the away legs first.

Arsenal, who boast Republic of Ireland captain Katie McCabe among their ranks, got past Rangers and Rosenborg in their first qualifying round mini-tournament, while Saoirse Noonan scored a hat-trick as Celtic beat Finnish side KuPS 3-1 before seeing off Lithuanian outfit Gintra 2-0.

Noonan's fellow Ireland international Caitlin Hayes also plays for Celtic.

Tara O'Hanlon's Man City join the competition at the second qualifying round stage after finishing second in the Women's Super League last season.

WSL champions Chelsea have qualified automatically for the group phase along with Barcelona, Lyon and Bayern Munich.

SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division champions Peamount United are out of the competition following their 2-1 loss to Croatian side Osijek on Saturday, after an extra-time victory over Dinamo Minsk in their first qualifying round semi-final.
