Arjen Robben: Bayern Munich icon completes first marathon in strong time

Arjen Robben announced his second and final retirement from football at the end of the 2020/21 campaign.

The Dutchman originally retired in 2019 but decided to come back to play for boyhood side, FC Groningen.

But, after appearing just seven times in 2020/21, he decided to hang up his boots for good.

Robben established himself as one of the best wingers of the 21st century during a long and successful football career.

Now 38, you can forgive him for letting himself go and enjoy his retirement.

However, Robben is determined to keep fit and look after himself.

This weekend, Robben completed his first ever marathon.

The former Real Madrid, Chelsea and Bayern Munich star went through the pain barrier to complete the Rotterdam Marathon on Saturday.

He performed well as he crossed the finish line in 3 hours and 14 minutes, a very respectable time.

View him crossing the finish line below…

Well of course Arjen Robben just went on to finish the Rotterdam Marathon with a rather decent time of 3:13:57.That's 42 kilometers.Legend
