Are Post Offices open on Good Friday and Easter Monday 2023?

With the Easter Bank Holiday right around the corner, many people will be getting ready to enjoy four days off work.

However, if you're hoping to send out some letters and parcels throughout the weekend, it may be worth checking if the Post Office is actually operating when you expect it to. This is because operating hours may change to accommodate Good Friday and Easter Monday.

The Post office said: The Royal Mail website says: “Royal Mail deliver and collect the mail on most days of the year, including Saturdays. However, Royal Mail don’t deliver or collect the mail on bank and public holidays.”

Here's everything you need to know about Post Office times for Easter...

Some Post Offices up and down the country will be open on Good Friday. However, they will be operating with limited hours with the majority only staying open until 1pm, according to the Department of Social Protection.

Full delivery services should also still be running on Friday, April 7. However, Post Offices nationwide will close for Saturday, April 8 as well as for Easter Monday on April 10.

After this, they will return to normal opening hours on Tuesday, April 11. You can check your local post offices opening times here.
