Antrim squad boosted by Dunloy returnees

Antrim's 2024 championship preprations have been boosted by the return of the Dunloy contingent who had departed before the season began.

Key players Keelan Molloy, Nigel Elliott, Seaan Elliot and Ryan Elliott have all rejoined Darren Gleeson’s panel from the 2023 All-Ireland club finalists while Daire McMullan and Aodhan McGarry have also been added from the Cuchullains.

Sean McKay (Cushendun), Cormac McKeown (Glenravel), Niall McGarel (Glenarm) and Ruairi McCormick (Loughgiel) have also been added to the Saffron squad, Antrim GAA have confirmed.

It’s a major boost for the Ulster side who have endured a poor Division 1 campaign.

After a heavy opening-day loss to Limerick, the side were set for victory over Dublin before a defensive error at the death gave the visitors a goal and the points.

Defeats to Galway, Westmeath and Tipperary followed, by a combined 46 points.

The squad are heading to Portugal for a warm weather camp next month before their Leinster championship campaign begins with a trip to face Kilkenny on 21 April.
