Antony and Raphael Varane among Manchester United players attending Silverstone Grand Prix

Manchester United players Antony, Raphael Varane and Brandon Williams were all at Silverstone on Sunday to watch the Formula 1 British Grand Prix.

The United trio made the most of their day off from training, heading down to the famous racetrack to watch Max Verstappen take first place ahead of English pair Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton.

Antony and Varane looked to be there via an invite from Verstappen's Red Bull team, with the pair uploading pictures on Instagram of themselves inside the garage. Williams also posted a video on his social media of cars speeding past his vantage point.

Brazilian winger Antony made an appearance on Sky Sports' build up of the race as he was spotted on the track by Martin Brundle. The £86million man was quizzed on former teammate David De Gea, whose exit was confirmed last week after his contract with the Reds expired.

"For me it was an honour to play beside David De Gea," the United forward said. "For the history and the friendship we have, I wish [him] all the best in the world."

Asked for his targets for the new season, the former Ajax star added: "It's a new season, we will put United in first place and our wish is to win a title."

The trio returned to training on Monday ahead of Wednesday's first pre-season friendly against Leeds United in Oslo. Having been part of the first group to return back last week, all three could be involved.
