Antonio Conte Hits Back At Pep Guardiola On Instagram About Tactics Used vs Man City

Moments after Kane's eventual winner in the 94th minute, cameras captured the polar-opposite reactions of Guardiola and Conte on the touchline. It was one of the most dramatic moments of the season to date.

"After going behind, they defended so deep and so compact – it was incredible. They don't lose the ball with Harry Kane and can run as well with Son and Kulusevski," the Spaniard said.

"I think we played well. We created a lot of chances. I can't say anything wrong about the team because we were there all the time. But it was difficult.

"They played the way I expected them to play. They were good in the build-up and created a lot of space to run on the counter-attack, but in general we coped well and played a good game.

"Everyone knows what Kane gives. For the first goal we defended the pass inside badly, but after 10 to 15 minutes we created a lot of chances. Lloris was brilliant. We have to score more."

But it looks like Antonio Conte has taken Guardiola's comments the wrong way.

In fact, it doesn't look like he's taken them well at all. After uploading a clip of all three Spurs goal at the Etihad, Conte commented on his own post saying: ""Counterattacks?!? Maybe not…" followed by three laughing face emojis.

Conte was full of praise for his players after their dramatic win against "best team in the world" Manchester City.

"For sure it was a great win for us against a fantastic team like Man City," he said. "It's a great compliment to City too because in my opinion, they showed themselves to be the best team in the world.

"To win a game like this it means we had the perfect performance."
