Anthony Watson 'spoken to Leicester Tigers' over Bath switch

Leicester Tigers have reportedly touched base with Anthony Watson regarding a move to the East Midlands.

The England and British and Irish Lions winger/full-back has been offered a new deal to stay at Bath but he has yet to put pen to paper.

Now, the Rugby Paper have reported that the 27-year-old could be the man to replace Nemani Nadolo at the end of the season if rumours are correct and the Fijian is set for a return to the southern hemisphere to play in either Australia or Fiji.

Watson, who is currently out injured with an ACL rupture suffered in October, has also been linked with moves to Sale Sharks and his former club, London Irish.

The Rugby Paper also linked Leicester Tigers with Worcester Warriors outside back Melani Nanai.

The Mattioli Woods Welford Road club has been a happy hunting ground for wingers this season. Nadolo has scored eight tries in 15 games this season while Harry Potter has six in 18 games.

Other widemen have also filled their boots with Hosea Saumaki crossing seven times in nine games, centre/winger has seven scores in 20 outings while Chris Ashton got his Tigers scoring off the mark against London Irish.
