Anthony Joshua's purse for rematch vs Oleksandr Usyk is more than Andy Ruiz Jr 2 prize money

Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk are set for the biggest paydays of their respective careers when they meet in the ring tonight.

We are now just hours away from the biggest boxing night of Joshua's career when he'll rematch Usyk as he looks to avenge his September defeat to the Ukrainian. The fight will take place in Saudi Arabia and sees AJ hoping to regain his WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles after losing them to former cruiserweight Usyk last year.

They will also fight for The Ring heavyweight title after Tyson Fury vacated the belt in the wake of his retirement decision which was announced on Friday. The Gypsy King has also been given 10 days to decide whether or not to vacate his WBC belt, for which the number one ranked contender is Deontay Wilder.

Joshua knows that he made a lot of mistakes in his last bout against Usyk, from his preparation for the fight as well as his tactics on the night.

But whatever happens in the ring, both men will walk away from the night significantly richer, with multiple reports suggesting both fighters will earn a 50/50 split of the purse bid, meaning they'll net £50 million each - with Joshua expected to take home millions more from sponsorships on the night. This would take Joshua's net worth above Fury's.
