Anthony Joshua drops huge hint about fight announcement

Heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua has dropped his biggest hint yet that a fight announcement could be imminent.

For the longest time Anthony Joshua has been viewed as the poster boy for heavyweight boxing. In the last few years, however, a cavalcade of fighters have been able to rise up and meet him at that level – including Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder.

Alas, neither of these men took his WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles away from him last September. Instead, that honour fell to former cruiserweight king Oleksandr Usyk.

The Ukrainian put on a scintillating display to earn a hard-fought decision win and in doing so, established himself as one of the best pound-for-pound boxers on the planet.

Unfortunately, as a result of the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine, the future is uncertain for Usyk as he is unable to train and therefore unable to defend his title.

As the wait continues, Joshua has decided to stay active with plans currently being put together for him to get back into the squared circle.

Several names have been mentioned as potential foes including Joe Joyce and Otto Wallin, but there’s been no formal announcement as of this writing.
