"Angry" Eddie Hall leaves ring immediately after Thor Bjornsson defeat

Eddie Hall didn't hang around after his defeat by Thor Bjornsson as he left the ring immediately after the decision was announced.

Hall was dropped twice by his strongman rival before all three judges scored the fight 57-54 in the Icelander's favour..

And while Bjornsson stuck around to offer his thoughts on the bout, Hall headed straight for his dressing room.

"On my behalf [the rivalry is over]," said the winner. "Understandably he seemed angry still, he lost the fight. There are a lot of feelings right now.

"If he wants a rematch I'll take one no problem. I would like to thank Eddie Hall and his team."

Hall made a good start to the grudge match as Bjornsson was counted in the second round when he was adjudged to have been held up by the ropes.

But Hall was then dumped on the canvas in the third and sixth rounds.

Those knockdowns were enough to secure victory for Bjornsson - but Hall appeared disappointed with the result regardless.

He had promised a knockout in his first ring experience but struggled as the fight progressed.

He thought he had dropped his rival for a second time in the second session but it was ruled a slip by the referee.

Bjornsson remained in the ring afterwards and added: "He put up a hell of a battle. I'd never been dropped in training so he really can punch hard. But today I believe boxing technique one.

"I'm really enjoying this journey and if there are other opportunities I am at least open to it."

Bjornsson said earlier in the week that he was open to fighting Martyn Ford who is also known as the World's Scariest Man.

Ford, who is a friend of Hal's must first take on Iranian Hulk - real name Sajad Gharibi - in London on April 30.

But he could be tempted to attempt to avenge his friend's defeat
