Ange Postecoglou in late Celtic transfer admission as phone signal keeps him in the dark

Ange Postecoglou has dropped an eleventh-hour Celtic transfer hint that could signal more incomings before tomorrow's deadline slams shut.

And it is signal that the Hoops boss admitted he won't have for the next few hours as Celtic travel home from a comfortable 4-1 win against Ross County in the Premier Sports Cup. It was wholesale changes from the side who thumped Dundee United, but with ever-reliable captain Callum McGregor opening the scoring. Celtic will now face Motherwell in the quarter-finals of the competition, and Postecoglou admits the focus hadn't been on the clash with Rangers until the game in Dingwall was in the books.

He added: "I'm really pleased with the boys efforts tonight, and we're in the draw which is good. "A lot of the boys were playing their first games today but we kept saying they've been training really well and deserve an opportunity - performance levels didn't drop at all. I made nine changes which will always disrupt cohesion in the squad a little bit, but I thought the boys played some really good football against a difficult team and venue, and to come away with a 4-1 victory is brilliant.
