Andy Robertson: Footage proves Liverpool man is football's ultimate s***house

Since arriving from Hull City in July 2017, Liverpool’s Andy Robertson has established himself as arguably the greatest left-back in the world.

Forming a dynamic full-back partnership with Reds colleague Trent Alexander-Arnold, Robertson has been a key man for Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp as the Anfield outfit have marched to both their first ever Premier League title win, as well as Champions League success in recent years.

Fans on the red half of Merseyside have taken the Scotland captain to their hearts – and it’s not only because he’s consistently delivered on the pitch.

Robertson, who turned 28 years old on Friday, has never been afraid of employing a bit of sh*thousery to get under the skin of an opponent – much to the delight of the Liverpool faithful.

In an era where governing bodies and officials frequently go out of their way to try and sanitise the game, Robertson isn’t likely to win a fair play award any time soon.

However, we’re pretty certain that won’t bother him too much.

Robertson hasn’t shied away from having his fun with some of the biggest names in the sport – even managing to wind up seven-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi with a sense of ease.

The cheeky Scotsman managed to get a rise out of the notoriously laid-back Argentinian when he ruffled his hair after a coming together between the pair during Liverpool’s famous 4-0 victory over Barcelona in 2019.

“We both ended up on the ground, and… yeah I just ruffled his hair a wee bit,” Robertson explained to The Mirror in 2020.
