Andy Murray news: Justine Henin thinks the Scot’s reunion with coach Ivan Lendl is a positive move

Andy Murray is entering the final stage of his career and as a result he wants to ends this chapter of his life under the guidance of Ivan Lendl who has previously coached him to success, and former player Justine Henin believes this is the right call for the Scot.

The former world No 1 worked with Lendl during his victories at Wimbledon in 2013 and 2016, and he gives him and edge when out on court.

He last worked with the 34-year-old in 2016, with the only reason he left Murray’s camp being that he didn’t want to commit to a whole season on the ATP Tour, which is perfect for the Scot as he’s already announced he’s missing out the clay season to focus on grass.

Even though this pairing seems like a great fit to meet to needs of both, it’s still come as a shock to some.

“Lendl and Murray working together again is a surprise, even though these two have worked well together in the past,” former world No 1 Justine Henin explained.

“If Murray comes back to Ivan Lendl and Lendl comes back to him, it’s because between these two there are extremely positive things that allow them both to continue to move forward and grow.
