Andy Murray seems to have pinpointed a coach to add to his team as he continues his long road back to the top after n otching his 700th career win.
To the surprise of many, the former British number one recently reunited for the third time with Ivan Lendl, who he has enjoyed plenty of success with in the past.
However, he is keen to add a second coach who will be able to travel with him for 20-25 weeks a year.
Murray’s assessment of his trial with Esteban Carril was a good one, but the Spaniard is unable to commit the time the 34-year-old is looking for.
However, according to BBC Sport , Mark Hilton, a coach for the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), spent time with the three-time Grand Slam winner and two-time Olympic champion in Indian Wells.
He will also reportedly train with the two-time Wimbledon champion in Miami ahead of the Masters 1000 event there next week.
Murray has enjoyed their sessions together and while conversations regarding Hilton officially joining his team have not yet taken place, the tennis legend sees him as a ‘strong candidate.’
He worked previously as a travelling coach with fellow British stars Dan Evans and Kyle Edmund.
