AmaZulu coach Romain Folz says there is no special plan for in-form Saleng

AmaZulu head coach Romain Folz has revealed that he has no special plan in place to contain in-form winger Monnapule Saleng when his side takes on Orlando Pirates in the MTN8 final on Saturday.

It has been quite a turnaround for Saleng recently. After having no involvement in the first seven matchdays this season, he has been in fine form since, contributing to four goals in seven games across all competitions so far.

However, the French-born mentor says there's no special plan being made to contain the 24-year-old and insists he will give all Pirates players the same focus.

"We treat every team and every player with the same level of attention and I would say the same overall focus," Folz told reporters.

"You’re aware of a few individuals within the team, but you don’t put your entire game plan and your entire focus on one or two."

The 32-year-old mentor will enter the game with renewed confidence after recently picking up his first victory in South Africa after beating Stellenbosch FC 1-0 on Sunday.

While Folz is aware of Saleng's recent reputation, he believes that there are other players in the Pirates set-up who could hurt his side.

"He’s (Saleng) a good player, but there are other good players just like we have the players, so as much as we know what they have. I think they know what we have, and as I said, it’s going to be a good be match between two good teams.

"To have good teams, you need to have good players and both sides have that. It’s going to be a good game," concluded Folz.

Kick-off 18:00 on Saturday.
