Amazon customers snap up 'no subscription fee' £75 video doorbell as Ring hikes prices
Over the weekend, Martin Lewis issued a warning to anybody with a Ring Video Doorbell. as the brand announced price hikes on its monthly subscription. Ring Doorbell customers subscribed to Ring's Protect Basic Plan were not best pleased as they started to receive emails informing them that the subscription will increase from £34.99 a year to £49.99 a year - a staggering 43 per cent increase.
However, there's a way to avoid subscription hikes for video doorbells. Unlike Ring, some competitors don't charge a monthly subscription rate. One brand that doesn't charge a subscription fee for video storage is Eufy, which costs abslutely nothing to use after buying it.
Better still, Amazon has slashed the price of Eufy video doorbell cameras for a limited time. They could now work out far more economical than a Ring when you take the monthly subscription into account.
