Amad has given Erik ten Hag a simple Manchester United transfer decision to make this summer

Erik ten Hag is set to resume his squad revamp this summer, with MEN Sport understanding a top-class striker and a younger central midfielder will both be on the agenda when the transfer window opens, but what could the future hold for those out on loan? Let's take a look at some of the biggest names currently away from Old Trafford on temporary moves.

Amad (Sunderland – Championship)

Amad has been United’s biggest success story in recent years when it comes to utilising the loan market. He's bagged 12 league goals and three assists for Sunderland and has played a pivotal role in turning the Wearside club into play-off contenders.

Amad will return to Manchester in the summer before being evaluated by Erik ten Hag, and some believe the youngster would benefit from another season out on loan given the competition he will face for a place in the matchday squad. However, with Facundo Pellistri and Anthony Elanga available for temporary moves this summer, Amad's route to the first team looks a little clearer and Ten Hag should definitely keep him as a rotation option.

Axel Tuanzebe (Stoke – Championship)

Axel Tuanzebe will likely leave United this summer. His contract is set to expire and there is little chance he will sign a new one.

The centre-back showed promise early on in his career, most notably during a sparkling display against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League. Tuanzebe has spent the second half of this season on loan at Stoke, only making four league appearances for the Potters.
