Almost Famous launch crowdfund for new burger concept with FREE vouchers for first to support

The owner of cult burger joint Almost Famous is today launching a crowdfund appeal to kickstart a new foodie project set to launch in the Northern Quarter this summer.

Beau Myers revealed last month how he's created his "best burger ever" for the new smash burger takeaway called Super Awesome Deluxe. It will take over the former Lono Cove cocktail bar site on Thomas Street in the Northern Quarter.

He is launching a crowdfund appeal to raise a further £50k to put with their own investment to get the venture off the ground. The appeal goes live at 12noon on Monday, July 8.

The Crowdfund will include a number of "rewards" for those who support starting from £2.50. And for the first few who get involved there will also be FREE vouchers to use when the restaurant eventually opens.

Owner Beau Myers first launched Almost Famous in Manchester's Northern Quarter back in 2012 - pioneering the "dirty burger" trend in the city and sparking queues around the block from hungry punters desperate to get inside.

Beau announced the news of the appeal lunch for Super Awesome Deluxe on social media on Monday. He said: "SO TODAY IS THE DAY! I'm a fizzing ball of energy spreading all the good vibes, I thought I'd be nervous and I'm genuinely so excited to take the lid off this and share it with the world, it's truly going to be super awesome deluxe.

"It's been so long coming and really is the result of months, years even of work on what i think is THE perfect smashed burger and i just cant wait to share it with everyone.
