Manchester United and Newcastle United are both sweating on injuries ahead of the Premier League's return.

The two teams in pursuit of Champions League qualification meet on Sunday afternoon at St James' Park. United have as many as half a dozen players nursing injuries, and it's a similar story in the North East.

Four of Eddie Howe's players are doubts, while Joelinton is suspended. Here's the latest Newcastle injury news ahead of the weekend.

Injury: Hamstring

Status: Doubt

What Howe has said: "Allan wasn’t quite right, physically, I didn’t think. He’s been carrying a tight hamstring. I don’t think it’s a pull, it’s just a little bit of tightness.'
