Allan Saint-Maximin has just sent another three-word message to Newcastle critics on Instagram

Newcastle United winger Allan Saint-Maximin has sent fans yet another Instagram message following some recent criticism.

During the club’s most recent game, the winger lost possession in the build-up to Alex Iwobi’s 99th-minute winner as his side fell to defeat against Everton. No doubt taking aim at his supposed critics, the Frenchman took to Instagram to write: “People forget quickly, but I know what to do to restore their memory.”

It seems as though the whole situation is still playing on Saint-Maximin’s mind, however, as he has once more sent a message out on social media.

Indeed, in his most recent Instagram story, he shared extended footage of him working hard on a treadmill. He then ended the posts with a video of himself sweating profusely, with the caption ‘let’s see now’ and an egg timer emoji.

TIF thoughts on Allan Saint-Maximin…

After missing the recent Southampton game through illness, Saint-Maximin has been limited to cameos of around 20 minutes in each of the Magpies’ past two matches. On top of that, a knock also kept him out of a few matches prior to that run and so he has struggled for fitness over the last month or so (via Transfermarkt).

Taking that into account, and the criticism he received for his role in the Everton defeat, it seems clear that the winger is trying to prove how hard he is working to be back to his best.

With five goals and three assists in the league this term, there should be no doubting what Saint-Maximin can bring to the table. He’ll likely hope to show his best form after the international break as Newcastle push to finish as high up the league table as possible.
