All the women's and girls' football teams you can join in Derbyshire

Derbyshire was captivated by the recent success of the England women's team as they lifted the Euro 2022 trophy at Wembley, defeating Germany 2-1 in the final. The events of the last month have had a hugely positive impact on women's football and women's sport, and teams in the Women's Super League, the top women's football league in England, have reported increased ticket sales ahead of the 2022-23 season.

Elsewhere, teams have reported a huge rise in the number of girls and women wanting to get involved themselves, and Derbyshire may well be home to the next Chloe Kelly or Leah Williamson. Fortunately, Derbyshire has plenty of options for those wanting to play, with teams for adults and children across the county.

The top team in Derbyshire is Derby County Women FC, who play in the third tier of women's football, the FA Women's National League Premier Division. But there are also several grassroots leagues which allow anyone, of any ability, to get involved.

We've now put together a list of all the clubs which are either dedicated women's teams, or run a mixture of men's and women's teams in Derbyshire. These clubs all offer 11 vs. 11 adult football, or mini soccer if they run youth teams, and this list is correct as of Friday, August 5, 2022:
