All or Nothing Arsenal: Ramsdale's furious reaction to missing out on clean sheet

The 2021/22 season was one Aaron Ramsdale will never, ever forget.

In the previous two campaigns, the goalkeeper suffered back-to-back relegations with Bournemouth and Sheffield United.

So when Arsenal decided to bring him to north London last summer for a fee of around £25 million, the move was pretty much universally criticised.

But Ramsdale well and truly silenced all of his doubters.

The 24-year-old replaced Bernd Leno in Arsenal’s fourth Premier League game of 2021/22 at home to Norwich City and he never looked back.

Ramsdale was the Gunners’ number one between the sticks for the remainder of the campaign, earning himself a regular spot in England‘s senior squad and keeping 15 clean sheets in total.

Like everyone in his profession, the charismatic shot-stopper takes pride in going a full 90 minutes without conceding a goal, which was clear for all to see in Arsenal’s All or Nothing documentary series.

In one of the episodes released, the Amazon cameras captured Ramsdale’s furious reaction to missing out on a clean sheet in Arsenal’s 3-1 home victory over Aston Villa back in October.

Mikel Arteta’s side raced into a 3-0 lead thanks to goals from Thomas Partey, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Emile Smith Rowe.

But Villa got themselves on the scoresheet at the Emirates through Jacob Ramsey in the 82nd minute, a goal which Arsenal could have quite easily prevented.

To say Ramsdale wasn’t happy with the defenders in front of him would be something of an understatement…
