Alisson's Jordan Pickford impression has been given the Titanic treatment

Liverpool beat Everton 2-0 in the Merseyside derby at Anfield on Sunday in a result that could have a huge say in who wins the Premier League and who gets relegated.

Liverpool needed all three points to go back within one point of Manchester City at the top of the table. Meanwhile, Everton remained in the relegation zone after Burnley had earlier beaten Wolves.

But for 60 minutes, though, Everton’s gameplan was perfect.

From the first whistle, they frustrated Jurgen Klopp’s side.

They took their time with every set-piece and were happy to allow Liverpool to have the ball, breaking up play with niggly fouls.

Goalkeeper Jordan Pickford was the orchestrator, delaying his every free-kick to the fury of home fans.

There was one moment, in particular, that angered Kopites.

In first half injury-time, Pickford comfortably caught a cross before falling to the ground in instalments. He smiled as the home fans complained about his time-wasting.
