Alejandro Garnacho sends four-word Instagram message to Manchester United ace Lisandro Martinez

Manchester United youngster Alejandro Garnacho hailed teammate Lisandro Martinez following his outstanding performance in the Reds' 2-1 win over Liverpool at Old Trafford on Monday night.

The Argentine, who was brought to Old Trafford from Dutch giants Ajax last month, kept his place in the starting line-up following the 4-0 defeat at Brentford and produced a brilliant display to help United record their first win of the season. The 24-year-old experienced a difficult evening against the Bees just over a week ago and was taken off at half-time.

Despite that, manager Erik ten Hag decided to name Martinez in his starting line-up for the clash with Jurgen Klopp's side, choosing to drop club captain Harry Maguire instead. The latter was replaced by Raphael Varane, who was awarded his first start of the campaign.

Martinez, who Ten Hag was desperate to bring to Old Trafford, justified his inclusion in the starting line-up, producing a heroic performance to help the Reds become the first team to beat Liverpool in the Premier League this calendar year. Joining forces with Varane in the heart of the defence, he was absolutely outstanding, suggesting that he can defy his doubters and make a name for himself in English football.

He earned fully deserved praise from supporters and pundits alike, as well as from Ten Hag. It was a commanding showing and one that announced his arrival in English football.

Martinez also earned praise via a short message from fellow countryman Garnacho, with the United youngster taking to Instagram to send a few words to United's new No.6.
