Alejandro Garnacho names his five biggest Manchester United influences

Academy starlet Alejandro Garnacho has named the five biggest influences on his Manchester United career. After impressing for the age-group sides at Old Trafford, the 17-year-old has been called up by Argentina alongside Lionel Messi for two World Cup qualifiers this month.

Born in Madrid, the teenager has been chosen by Argentina for their upcoming games against Venezuela and Ecuador. He is yet to make his senior debut for United, but the winger has shone for the Under-18s on their way to the FA Youth Cup final this season.

It should only be a matter of time before Garnacho is called upon by Ralf Rangnick or the next United manager, but before then he might already have become a full international. Despite representing Spain at age-group level, Garnacho is set to team up with Messi and other established senior players during this international break. Argentina take on Venezuela in Buenos Aires on Friday night and that will be followed up by another qualifier in Ecuador.

Garnacho only arrived at Old Trafford from Atletico Madrid in 2020. However, less than two years later, the rising star has attributed his call-up to five key figures behind the scenes at Old Trafford.

During an interview with United's official website, he said: "My whole family have supported me in every kind of decision that I've taken and my agent Carlos is just like family to me.
