Aldi customer raves about chocolate 'Cadbury dupe' – but people spot 'problem'

There's nothing quite like a delightful chocolate indulgence over the weekend, especially when it comes with an affordable price tag.

And if you're planning to visit your local Aldi in the next few days, you might want to keep a lookout for some chocolate replicas that one TikToker has compared to Cadbury's.

User @serious.snacks.series has gained popularity on social media due to her fantastic food recommendations. And in one of her latest video, she filmed "three exciting new chocolate products at Aldi", asking viewers if they'd had a chance to try them yet.

Overlaid on the video was text stating that the new offerings "look 10/10".

She described the chocolate as "brand new" and she spotted it during a recent Aldi trip. She asserted that the new chocolate items were "really exciting".

First on the list was the milk chocolate 'Curious Inventions', which she claimed was "definitely a Cadbury's dupe" for their 'Marvellous Creations' chocolate bar. The chocolate was priced at £1.39, significantly cheaper than the £2.50 (at Tesco) for the Cadbury's version.

Meanwhile, user @serious.snacks.series expressed her curiosity about the white chocolate version, declaring: "You are coming home with me".

She then shared her fondness for inexpensive biscuits, revealing she'd discovered some chocolate-covered Nice biscuits, something she'd "never seen before". At the end of the video, she urged viewers to share if they'd tried the dupes and their opinions on them.

However, some commenters were not pleased with Aldi's chosen price point for the chocolate.

One person commented: "How is the Cadbury dupe almost the same price as the real thing? Needs to be 99p." The original poster agreed, writing: "Cozzy livs is getting to us".
