Aldi brings back KitchenAid mixer dupe ahead of Great British Bake Off saving shoppers £300

The wholesome, autumnal comfort that is The Great British Bake Off returns to our screens tonight (September 13), and will see many budding bakers wondering what they could whip up in the kitchen themselves.

Just in time for the Channel 4 show bringing kitchen chaos back into our homes, Aldi has brought back its popular stand mixer - which is a dupe of the KitchenAid’s much more expensive electricals.

The Ambiano Classic Stand Mixer costs less than £50 and has nearly 300 five star reviews. The KitchenAid equivalent - which is the gadget of choice in the Bake Off tent - costs a minimum of £349, making Aldi’s an extremely affordable option by comparison.

Shoppers looking to give themselves a star baker title can choose from a variety of colours, including pearl-white, cream, pink and grey . The machine features a large five litre mixing bowl with a 2.6L working capacity.

The mixer is made from a high quality plastic housing with stainless steel detail, and has a rotary switch with eight speed levels and pulse functionality. It also comes with a flat beater, a non-stick whisk, a non-stick dough hook and a splash guard, all of which can go in the dishwasher.
