Alan Shearer has issued a stark message to Marcus Rashford, stating that it's either the manager's way or the highway at Manchester United.

The dramatic win diverted attention from Rashford's unexpected exclusion, but the repercussions of Amorim's decision have nonetheless sent shockwaves through Old Trafford.

On Tuesday, the England international dropped a bombshell by admitting he was "ready for a new challenge", opening the door for a shock departure in January. On Sunday, Amorim hinted that Rashford could work his way back into the squad, but whether the player is willing to do so remains uncertain.

"It's really good to see that [Amorim] is able to put his stamp on the football club and that he isn't going to carry passengers," the Newcastle legend, 54, said.
