Alan Shearer makes X-rated gesture to Gary Lineker ahead of Liverpool and Chelsea final in FA Cup

Alan Shearer could resist but give Gary Lineker the middle finger after he mocked him for his own FA Cup failure ahead of Liverpool’s clash with Chelsea.

Former Everton forward Lineker regularly makes fun of the fact Shearer failed to win the FA Cup during his career. The former England skipper finished his playing career with just one Premier League title to his name.

Lineker, on the other hand, lifted the oldest competition in football while at Tottenham Hotspur during the 1990/91 campaign. While the current Match of the Day host also featured for Everton in their 1989 defeat to Liverpool at Wembley.

And ahead of this afternoon’s game at Wembley, Lineker was quick to mock Shearer for failing to win the world famous trophy. "There it is look, that little beauty. Here's the cup you won," he said while holding a small plastic coffee cup in his colleague's direction.

In response, Shearer simply replied with a middle-fingered gesture to let Lineker know exactly what he thought of the joke. The former England international couldn’t help but laugh at Shearer’s response.

Speaking on today’s game, Jurgen Klopp said on Friday: “Very helpful, but what does it mean? When you go for three or four trophies then it is always clear you get it, or we don’t get it. I cannot change that now.
