Alabama Player Throws Unbelievably Dirty Cheap Shot

Nate Oats' Alabama team got away with a cheap shot Wednesday night against Florida. Crimson Tide forward Mohamed Wague dropped a cheap elbow on Gators big man Alex Condon, missed entirely by the refs. Alabama welcomed the trending Gators to Coleman Coliseum, and things got chippy in the ‘hard-fought’ battle.

Going for the ball, Mohamed Wague swiped his arm at Condon's head, landing a direct shot to the back of the center's head and neck area. Wague also snuck in a knee to Condon's head before flying in with the elbow.

Condon clutched his head and a whistle was blown …

But to add insult to 'injury,' the officials called a foul on Florida during the dirty play by Alabama's Wague.

Viewers called for a Flagrant against Alabama based on the blatant hit …

All eyes went to Nate Oats, who faced plenty of backlash last season for permitting rookie sensation Brandon Miller to play through allegations of delivering a handgun to a crime scene. Oats also shoved an opposing player in January … a bit of a hot head.

Oats' inability to hold players accountable fell under the spotlight yet again.

"Have to give a ton of credit to Bama, they’re so tough. Nate Oats had them fighting hard tonight," one X commenter quipped.

Alabama (19-7) survived with a 98-93 overtime win, improving its SEC conference record to 11-2.
