Al-Nassr boss Rudi Garcia reacts after Cristiano Ronaldo outburst amid huge title blow

Al-Nassr head coach Rudi Garcia was unsatisfied that Cristiano Ronaldo and company did not play as he had asked during the 0-0 with Al-Feiha to fall further behind in the Saudi Pro League title race.

A month after losing their position atop the table with a 1-0 defeat against fellow contenders Al-Ittihad, dropping more points means the Riyadh-based side now sit three points behind the league leaders. Former Roma coach Garcia expressed his disappointment with the result and performance but was not the only one to make their feelings known.

Ronaldo, 38, was also left far from pleased with the result, storming off the pitch following the full-time whistle after a confrontation with opposition player Ali Al-Zaqaan. The former Manchester United forward was overheard during the television broadcast saying: "You don't want to play," to the two-cap Saudi Arabia international.

Garcia was much more concerned with how his Al-Nassr side played instead. "The result is definitely bad, and we are not happy," their coach told the Saudi Sports Company (SSC) through a translator via Reuters.

"I don’t feel satisfied with the players' performance. I asked them to play at the same level as the last game (a 5-0 win over Al-Adalah), but this didn’t happen".

"There are seven games left, we will try to recover, and we realize that it’s not easy after we lost two points, but everything is possible."

Ronaldo and Al-Nassr next play on Tuesday when they visit Al-Hilal. The reigning Pro League champions feature another former United forward, Odion Ighalo, who leads the league with 16 goals this season, five more than Ronaldo.
