An air ambulance landed near a popular beauty spot in Oldham on Thursday after a male was rescued from a lake. Emergency services, including paramedics, rushed to the water, near Daisy Nook Country Park in Failsworth on Thursday afternoon (September 1).

The male was pulled from the lake and taken to hospital on a stretcher by road. He is in a serious condition, the North West Ambulance service confirmed.
