Air ambulance lands in park after motorbike smash

An air ambulance landed in Reddish on Monday afternoon following a crash involving a motorcyclist. A male, in his 20s, was then taken to hospital by road following the incident.

The air ambulance was captured landing on the grass area beside Leamington Road, in Reddish, shortly before 3pm on Monday (April 11). Officers from Greater Manchester Police and paramedics from the North West Ambulance Service also attended the incident.

Air ambulance and an advanced paramedic assisted at the scene, but the casualty was later taken to hospital by road. The emergency services received the call at around 2.15pm.

A spokesperson for the North West Ambulance Service said: "We’ve taken a man in his 20s to hospital following an RTC involving a motorcyclist. We received a 999 call at 14.15.

"He was conveyed by road. An air ambulance and an advanced paramedic also assisted with the incident."

A spokesperson for the North West Ambulance Charity added: “North West Air Ambulance Charity were called to a road traffic collision (RTC) in Reddish involving a motorbike, at approximately 3pm on Monday 11 April.” Greater Manchester Police have been contacted for further information on the incident.
