Agent of Erling Haaland addresses Man City star’s future as Rodri hits back at Diego Simeone

Erling Haaland has been subjected to lingering speculation about a future move to Real Madrid ever since his arrival at Manchester City.

Such rumours have been rubbished as mere conjecture given the player has only been at the club for just over a year. Haaland’s agent has now addressed the striker’s future, stating that he is the master of his own destiny.

Meanwhile, Rodri has hit back at claims from Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone that the Premier League is losing the art of defending. The City pivot rowed back against the suggestion that art is dying out in English football.

Haaland's agent, Rafaela Pimenta, has rubbished suggestions that the striker will pick and choose his clubs amid reports linking Real Madrid with a transfer interest.

Despite the ongoing speculation, Pimenta, who has a series of high-profile clients on her books, is adamant that Haaland will only move, should he do so, when the time is right for him and City.

She has also confirmed that Haaland is not the type of person to have his head turned by any potential suitors and turn his back on City.

Rodri has hit back at Atletico Madrid manager Simeone after he suggested that defending is a dying art in English football.

Simeone said: "You see English football now and the matches finish 4-4, 5-3, 6-2, or 5-1, which is fantastic for the fans. Like Chelsea against Manchester City. These are all games that are fun to watch, but nobody is defending!"
