AFLW round-up: Amy Boyle-Carr enjoys winning Crows debut

Amy Boyle-Carr made a winning debut to her AFLW career as the Adelaide Crows crushed Essendon 62-29 at Thomas Farms Oval.

The multi-talented Boyle-Carr, who earned her passage Down Under on the back of her exploits for Donegal in the GAA realm and who has been capped in the the international sphere by the Republic of Ireland in soccer, recorded seven disposals - four kicks and three handballs - as well as two tackles.

Adelaide are the only team in the league to have won each of their starts to date, with Mayo's Niamh Kelly one of three women to bag a brace of goals for the league leaders.

The Brisbane Lions go into next week's top-of-the-table clash with Adelaide on the back of a victory after a dominant 61-16 win over the West Coast Eagles.

The North Melbourne Kangaroos lie third in the table and accounted for Port Adelaide 42-6 on Friday.

Tanya Kennedy registered 16 disposals - with an equal split of kicks and handballs - as the Donegal woman's Sydney Swans prevailed 43-40 in their derby encounter with GSW at Henson Park.

Leitrim's Aine Tighe scored with the final play of the game as Fremantle Dockers defeated the Melbourne Demons 47-41.

Elsewhere, the Western Bulldogs ran out comfortable 57-10 winners over Collingwood, while Hawthorn inflicted a first defeat of the season on St Kilda in a 74-17 triumph in their Melbourne derby.
