AEW star Adam Cole dealing with several injuries

Recent reports suggest that the centrepiece of The Undisputed Elite and Owen Hart Cup winner Adam Cole could be scheduled to be on the side lines in the future.

Cole is one of the top stars in AEW. He has been involved in some of the biggest matches in AEW against the likes of Hangman Adam Page, Jungle Boy, Samoa Joe Dax Harwood and many more.

Since his debut at last year’s All Out Pay-Per-View, Cole has only had two official singles match defeats on his record.

According to Fightful Select, Cole has been dealing with multiple injuries for quite a while now. It is reported that Cole has been “banged up for a while” and has been dealing with “several injuries”.

The injury initially reported was a labrum injury that estimates back to his feud with Adam Page.

However, the seriousness of these injuries is unknown, and Cole is expected to be at Forbidden Door with his sights set on the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, but it seems as if he may have to get through an old rival to get that shot.

It was revealed on Dynamite that both Adam Page and Adam Cole want the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, but it is still unknown who he will challenge for the title.

The champion going into Forbidden Door will be decided at tomorrow night’s NJPW Dominion event when Kazuchika Okada defends the IWGP Heavyweight Championship against Bullet Club’s Jay White.

Cole hasn’t been in action since his bout with Samoa Joe at Double Or Nothing, and it seems as if AEW are taking precaution so Cole is as healthy as he can be going into Forbidden Door.

You can watch AEW and Forbidden Door internationally on FITE TV.
