It was announced last night via Twitter that AEW’s Battle Of The Belts special event will have a match scheduled to take place for the ROH World Championship.

Gresham recently unified the ROH World Title at ROH’s Supercard of Honor when he defeated Bandido in a title unification match. Gresham will be going up against Dalton Castle who is no stranger to holding ROH gold himself. Castle himself is a former ROH World Champion and would go on to hold the belt for 6 months after defeating Cody Rhodes back in 2017.
Since purchasing AEW, Tony Khan has made it clear that he intends to have the ROH World Championship and other ROH titles defended on AEW shows.
We have had glimpses so far of ROH Championships being defended on AEW shows. FTR defended their recently won ROH Tag Team Championships against the Young Bucks on last week’s AEW Dynamite. Also, Samoa Joe recently captured the ROH World TV Championship against Minoru Suzuki on last night’s AEW Dynamite.
Other matches on the event include Thunder Rosa defending her AEW Women’s World Championship against Nyla Rose. Also, Scorpio Sky will be defending his TNT Championship against former champion Sammy Guevara.
You can watch AEW Battle Of The Belts internationally on FITE TV.
