'Advantage Armagh' against depleted Galway - Peter Canavan

Peter Canavan believes Armagh are primed to take advantage of Galway's injury woes at Markievicz Park on Sunday and pick up a win that would secure top spot in the All-Ireland SFC Group 1.

Both teams have won two from two in the round-robin group against Derry and Westmeath but Galway will be shorn of key men against Armagh, with Damien Comer among those to remain sidelined.

Speaking on the RTÉ GAA Podcast, Tyrone legend Canavan said Armagh should be in a position to continue their post-Ulster final loss resurgence.

"Without a doubt, it's advantage Armagh. I don't think Galway can manage without the quality of those players they're going to be missing," he said.

"And if Armagh go at Galway the way they went at Derry and play on the front foot, they've the ammunition to do it, they have the strength, and the physicality around the middle sector was very impressive against Derry.
