Administrators issue fresh update on Derby County situation

The administrators Quantuma have claimed that they are now considering offers for the club.

The deadline to receive offers was passed last week and the administrators are now being reviewed.

Quantuma have claimed that they are seeking further clarification from the bidders ahead of making any decisions.

Quantuma have also admitted that they are aware of the pressure to get this over the line as quickly as possible, but that they want to do their due diligence to ensure the brightest future for the club.

“The joint administrators of Derby County Football Club are currently considering bids for the club, following deadlines set for offers at the end of last week,” said a joint spokesperson for Quantuma, via Derbyshire Live.

“Further requests for clarity from prospective purchasers have been sought and we hope to be able to name the preferred bidder shortly.

“We are aware that everyone connected to the Club wants to see its future resolved as soon as possible.

“Our duty is to ensure we secure the best long-term outcome for Derby County and we are working hard to achieve this objective.”

Derbyshire went on to report that they believe Quantuma are set to meet with the EFL this week.

It has been reported in recent months that there are three prospective owners seeking to take over the club.

The Rams went into administration in September. The club was hit with a 21-points deduction as a result.

This has left Wayne Rooney’s side fighting against relegation from the Championship.

Despite that, Rooney has led the club to within eight points of safety.

Three defeats in a row, including a loss to Cardiff City last night, has halted their momentum.

Up next for Derby is a huge home game against their relegation rivals Barnsley.
