Adams, Oghoja, others win at Ikeja Golf Corporate Challenge
The 2025 edition of Ikeja Golf Corporate Challenge Cup ended at the weekend with Yusuf Adams emerging winner of the Xpress Payment Solution category with a total of 233 scores ahead of Biodun Hassan, Oseni Jide and Jimoh Ogundare in that category.
In the two-day Xpress MTS event, Ufuoma Oghoje finished top with a total of 222 scores ahead of Abdulrasheed Adebisi, Afolabi Kola and Mojeed Aberuagba, just as Fred Appah topped the ADL Solutions event with a score of 222 ahead of Amusa Kelani, Ayuba Abubakar and Lynda Obieze. Omini Ofen topped the Consolidated Hallmark Insurance event with a score of 220 ahead of Bayo Alli, Ojo Babatunde and Eddy Efekoha.
The Yoke Solution event was won by Gbenga Ayodele, who scored 219, ahead of Arun Sharma, Fawze A Talal and Bidemi Babatunde Ojo. Captain of Ikeja Golf Club, Babatunde Ojo told The Guardian during the presentation of prizes to winners that the Ikeja Golf Corporate Challenge Cup was put together as part of its yearly golfing calendar.
“It brings together different corporate entities where we compete. It is also give us the avenue to share in the spirit of playing the game of golf. This year’s edition has been quite interesting. We have a lot of new corporate entities who are participating for the first time and in total I believe we have about 25 companies ranging from different sectors in the national economy. So it is quite an interesting tournament this year. The tournament is getting better every year. My tenure will end in March.
