Drivers are experiencing delays after a serious crash. The A48 Old Briton Ferry Bridge is currently closed in both directions due to a serious crash.

The bridge is shut in both directions from the A474 Neath Road (Briton Ferry Roundabout) to the M4 at junction 42 for Swansea East and Briton Ferry after a serious crash at the A483 Fabian Way traffic lights, traffic website Inrix says. Traffic cameras show emergency services are at the scene and there is heavy traffic to junction 43 Llandarcy as traffic cannot exit the motorway at junction 42 eastbound.

Traffic in and around Neath is reportedly very heavy with motorists being advised to find alternative routes. The bridge has been closed while the A483 is shut from the Jersey Marine roundabout.
