A Study Has Broken Down How Much Chelsea Will Lose On Unsold Tickets For The Rest Of The Season

The 55-year-old has seen all his assets frozen and while Chelsea have a special licence to continue playing, it's plunged their potential sale into doubt.

Chelsea can't sell any tickets for their upcoming games and it'll be a huge financial blow.

Season ticket holders will still be allowed to attend games, and there are 28,000 of those registered.

The capacity of Stamford Bridge is 40,834 however and that means 12,434 tickets will go unsold, with the cheapest tickets being £47.

Chelsea have five home games remaining this season and if things stay as they are, the club will lose at least £3 million by May.

Current shirt sponsor, mobile phone company Three, said they would be suspending their sponsorship of the club on Thursday.

An official Three spokesperson said: "In light of the government's recently announced sanctions, we have requested Chelsea Football Club temporarily suspend our sponsorship of the club, including the removal of our brand from shirts and around the stadium until further notice.

"We recognise that this decision will impact the many Chelsea fans who follow their team passionately.

"However, we feel that given the circumstances, and the Government sanction that is in place, it is the right thing to do."

Chelsea travelled to Norwich City on Thursday evening and did have the logo on their shirts.

Turkish 'billionaire' Muhsin Bayrak claimed he was close to finalising a deal for Chelsea before Abramovich was sanctioned.

Bayrak is reportedly worth £8 billion and chairman of AB Group Holding, a construction and investment company.
