“A move away might be the best for all parties” – Nottingham Forest pundit makes transfer prediction over attacker

It’s fair to say that Nottingham Forest have had a very mixed record in the transfer market over the years, and one player who has struggled to make his mark is Xande Silva.
The forward joined the Reds on deadline day in the 2021 summer window from West Ham on a permanent basis.
Given his lack of game time at the Hammers, it was a slightly surprising addition, and whilst Silva has gone on to show that he does have talent, he has simply found it hard to establish himself as a regular at the City Ground, including under Cooper.
Therefore, FLW’s Forest fan pundit Des Oldham explained why a summer switch could benefit both the club and the player.
“I’d let Xande Silva leave in the summer. After a particularly tough start he has forced his way into the matchday squad, and at times shown glimpses of ability and the possibility that he could change a game.
“Unfortunately, I don’t think Steve Cooper sees him as a reliable option for the first XI, and with he likes of Joe Lolley and Alex Mighten coming back from injury, it might just push him back down the pecking order. A move away might be the best for all parties concerned, so Silva can get on with playing first- team football and reigniting his career.”
Silva has made just six appearances in the league this season.
The verdict
It’s hard to argue that a move away for Silva would be beneficial for his career in the summer.
The reality is that Cooper believes he has better options in the final third, and, as mentioned, that’s without the likes of Lolley and
