Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher believes the Premier League title race is still on following Man City's defeat to Tottenham Hotspur Saturday night.

City's 3-2 loss to Spurs came hours after Liverpool came back to beat Norwich City 3-1.

Harry Kane's last-gap winner prevented the league leaders from maintaining their nine-point lead at the top of the table.

The gap has closed to six points with the Reds having a game in hand and the pair still to meet at the Etihad Stadium in April.

Speaking after City's loss, Carragher as a pundit said that it's good for the rest of the league that the race for the title is far from over but tipped the reigning champions City to clinch the title.

"'It's a massive day not just for the top four but the title race. It's a tantalising prospect with Liverpool still to come to the Etihad," Carragher told Sky Sports.

"I'd still favour Man City and Liverpool's fixtures may be a little bit tougher. For Liverpool in the next few days, it may feel like the league game against Leeds is more important than the [Carabao] cup final against Chelsea.
