A cryptocurrency group is seeking to invest in the championship club Sunderland - and fans aren't happy.
On Tuesday (7 June), the football ownership group called The Fans Together issued a brief statement expressing their wishes to invest.
The collective also claimed that they are "in discussion" to purchase both Stewart Donald and Charlie Methven's remaining stakes in the club.
The cryptocurrency group are said to be eager to purchase Donald and Methven's remaining 39 per cent stake in the club, which they have held since 2018.
Sky Sports' Tom White shared a statement from the group's spokesperson on Twitter, who cited a previous successful track record with Greek Super League 2 side FC Episkopi.
