'A caring and kind person with a heart of gold' - Man who died after crash involving motorbike and HGV named

A man killed in a crash involving a motorbike and a HGV has been named as 24-year-old Conner Dickinson.

Touching tributes to Conner are being paid on social media - and an appeal to help the family has been launched on the GoFundMe platform.

One friend paid tribute to 'a caring and kind person with a heart of gold', with another saying Conner 'will be missed by so many people'.

As tributes were left at the scene of the tragedy, Bolton Coroners' Court has confirmed his details have been passed on to the court ahead of any inquest proceedings.

Police and paramedics were called to Tonge Moor Road in Bolton, near to its junction with Thicketford Road, at around 12.20pm on Tuesday, November 21.

Emergency services rushed to the incident, with North West Ambulance Service sending 'an ambulance, response car and an operational commander'. Multiple police vehicles were also dispatched.

But Greater Manchester Police went on to sadly confirm a 24-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigating officers launched an appeal for witnesses to come forward.

Police said at the time: "GMP's Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is keen to speak to anyone who may have any footage, including dashcam, mobile phone footage from the area in the moments leading up to the collision.

"At around 12:20pm this afternoon (Tuesday 21 November 2023), officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a HGV and a motorbike on Tonge Moor Road in Bolton.
