Birmingham City have had another tough season, with Lee Bowyer’s men struggling in the bottom half of the table.

In fairness, it was always going to be tough for the Blues boss, as he hasn’t been given serious backing to shape the squad in the way he wants, as the club have had well-documented issues off the pitch in recent years.

So, if he is to be a success, Bowyer will need to get things right in the transfer market – which hasn’t always happened at Birmingham.
